White House ’08: The first batch of TV ratings are in for RNC
Analysis by Chris Graham
More than 21.5 million people watched the second night of the 2008 Republican National Convention, which is a lot, but is still off 17 percent from the number that were watching the second night of last week’s Democratic National Convention, according to Nielsen.
More than 26 million people were watching the Tuesday-night offering at the DNC.
We’re still waiting for overnight numbers from Wednesday and the debut on the national political stage of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
Tuesday’s RNC was highlighted by speeches from former Republican senator Fred Thompson and Connecticut independent senator and 2000 Democratic Party vice-presidential nominee Joe Lieberman.
