The Waynesboro Police Department is investigating a residential burglary that took place sometime between 1 p.m. Saturday and 1 a.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Grove Avenue.
There were signs of forced entry into the residence. The preliminary investigation indicates that in excess of $10,000.00 of property was stolen from the house including home electronics, firearms, jewelry, cash and a hunting bow.
The police department believes that there were multiple offenders involved and may have had to use a vehicle like a small truck to transport the property. Officers recovered physical evidence that will be sent to the Depart of Forensic Science for analysis.
