Waynesboro Elks donate $1,000 to homeless shelter

WARM provides year around transitional shelter for homeless women with children who desire the opportunity to overcome life’s challenges and gain self-sufficiency.  You can find out more at

The donation was part of a grant to the Waynesboro Elks Lodge from the Elks National Foundation.  The Elks National Foundation donates $8 over million dollars Nationwide through the local Lodges for charitable work in each Lodge’s local community.

The Elks National Foundation also donates over $8 million to all the state associations for their charitable programs, $4 million for a national scholarship program, $1.1 million for Veterans Service programs, and $1.5 million the Elks National Hoop Shoot Contest and drug awareness program. You can find out more details at
