Stephen Drew has agreed to terms with the Washington Nationals, signing a one-year deal that could be worth up to $4.25 million.
Drew, 33, a 10-year MLB veteran, hit .201/.271/.381 with 17 homers and 44 RBI with the New York Yankees in 2015.
He made $5 million last season, and his deal for 2016 includes a $3 million guarantee and $1.25 million in incentives.
Drew figures to be a utility infielder in Washington, which signed former New York Met Daniel Murphy last week to play second base, and figures to use either Danny Espinosa or Trea Turner at short.
