Virginia State Police Special Agent B.K. Childress is investigating the cause and origin of two separate outbuilding/structure fires in Nelson County. The first fire occurred during the late evening hours on 3/30/15 in the 1400 block of Fishpond Road in Howardsville, Va. The second fire occurred during the early morning hours of 3/31/15 in the 600 block of Fishpond Road. The two outbuilding structures were completely destroyed in the fires. Based on the investigation, both fires appear to be suspicious in nature.
There were no injuries associated with either fire. If anyone has any information related to these fires, then please call the Virginia State Police at 434-352-7128.
The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office responded to both scenes, along with the Gladstone Volunteer Fire Department and the Lovingston Volunteer Fire Department.
