Virginia Police Benevolent Association endorses Ed Gillespie for Senate

ed gillespieThe Virginia Police Benevolent Association recently held a political screening for those candidates running for various offices in the upcoming election.  During the screening process Ed Gillespie demonstrated why his experiences and values make him uniquely qualified to represent the voters of Virginia.  He also demonstrated that he is committed to making strong effective law enforcement a priority in his campaign.  That is why the Virginia PBA is proud to announce their support by endorsing Ed Gillespie in the upcoming election.

Virginia Police Benevolent Association President Joe Woloszyn said, “Ed Gillespie has an understanding of issues important to our membership and a willingness to be a working partner in our efforts to improve and promote the law enforcement profession. He has a proven record of getting things done with bi-partisan support and Virginians will be well served with his leadership in the senate.”

Speaking about receiving this endorsement, Ed Gillespie said,  “I’m grateful to have the support of these men and women who protect and serve. As a senator, I will work with public safety officials and community leaders to make Virginia a better, safer place to live and work.”

The Virginia Police Benevolent Association is proud to endorse Ed Gillespie for U.S. Senate. Gillespie has a proven record of leadership and building partnerships. A vote for Gillespie is a vote for the men and women of law enforcement and the citizens they serve.

The Virginia Police Benevolent Association is a division of the Southern States Police Benevolent Association, Inc., a not-for-profit professional organization dedicated to improving the law enforcement profession. PBA members are full-time or retired employees of the various federal, state, county and municipal law enforcement and correctional agencies in Virginia. This professional association, funded by membership dues and citizen contributions, provides legal, legislative, disciplinary and other representation to member officers as well as an accidental death benefit to members’ beneficiaries. The PBA prohibits members from engaging in or condoning any strike by law enforcement officers, electing instead to represent members through aggressive political action.
