Another night on the road in the ACC, another tough road loss for Virginia. Boston College went 8-for-8 from the foul line in the final 1:29 to take control of a close game and get the win, 70-67, on Wednesday.

The loss spoiled a career night for junior center Assane Sene, who scored a career-high 11 points, pulled down a game-high nine rebounds and tied a career high with five blocked shots while serving as the lone post player for long stretches as UVa. coach Tony Bennett employed a four-guard lineup.

Mustapha Farrakhan led four Cavs in double figures with 14 points. Freshmen KT Harrell and Joe Harris had 13 and 11, respectively.

Senior Joe Trapani led the Eagles (14-5, 4-1 ACC) with 18 points.

“I told our guys in the locker room after the game ‘I’m disappointed, but I’m not discouraged,'” Bennett said after his team’s third straight loss in ACC play.

Virginia (10-8, 1-3 ACC) has lost five of its last seven overall after an 8-3 start.
