The 5th-seeded North Carolina Tar Heels knocked off top seed UVA 71-67 in Friday night’s semifinal of the New York Life ACC Tournament. Freshman Justin Jackson led the Tar Heels with a career-high 22 points but it was Marcus Paige’s late-game heroics that sealed the win for UNC. Paige hit a huge jumper with under a minute left as well as two critical free throws to help the Tar Heels advance to their 4th finals appearance in five years. Malcolm Brogdon did all he could to keep the Cavs in the game, scoring 20 of his career-high 25 points in the final 10 minutes of the game.
