ty jerome uva basketballUVA junior Ty Jerome is among the nation’s top amateur guards at this week’s CP3 Elite Guard Camp, whose alums include Steph Curry, Bradley Beal, Marcus Smart and Isaiah Thomas.

Paul, a nine-time NBA All-Star, played his college ball at Wake Forest, and started the camp early in his NBA career to pay forward what he had learned from NBA veterans like Jason Kidd, Steve Nash and Tony Parker.

The camp gives the young players a chance to tap into the knowledge base of Paul and other instructors, including work on game situations, drills and basic fitness and yoga training.

Jerome averaged 10.6 points and 3.9 assists per game in 30.8 minutes per game as a sophomore in 2017-2018, shooting 42.1 percent from the field, 37.9 percent from three-point range and 90.5 percent from the free-throw line.
