uva basketballThe National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) honored Virginia’s Tony Bennett, Malcolm Brogdon (Atlanta, Ga.) and Justin Anderson (Montross, Va.) on Friday (March 27).

Bennett was named 2014-15 UPS NABC District 2 Coach of the Year, while Brogdon Anderson were named to the NABC All-District 2 First Team. Bennett and Brogdon earned NABC All-District 2 honors for the second consecutive season.

Bennett, who earned U.S. Basketball Writers Association National Coach of the Year honors on March 23, guided No. 6 UVA to a 30-4 record, including a 28-2 mark during the regular season. The Cavaliers captured the ACC regular-season title for the second straight year and became the first ACC school to win 16 or more games in back-to-back seasons. The Cavaliers lead the nation in scoring defense for the second consecutive season at 51.5 points per game and Virginia has been ranked in the top 10 the entire season.
