Disney. Even the word brings a smile to anyone’s face young or young at heart. The only thing more fun than watching your favorite Disney movie for the 100th time with your kids is playing a fun game of Disney Trivia Questions. Well, you may want to watch all those movies again before you take this quiz, it is pretty challenging. Maqiquiz likes to keep you on your tippy-toes but lucky for you, we decided to help you out just a bit. Here is an article of helpful hints and tips so you can have fun with your family and beat them at any Disney quiz!

Tip #1: Be sure to know every character’s storyline

Sure, you know the big ones, Cinderella, Alladin, maybe even Woody, but do you know their friends and enemies? If not, it’s a good idea to watch some movies and do a bit of searching online. Before you pop in that DVD, here are a few must-know characters in your favorite Disney films, new and old.

Prince Naveen – a Prince from the movie, The Princess and the Frog, hails from the mythical country of Maldonia. After being tricked by a witch doctor, instead of getting rich the only “green” he gets is in the form of a frog body.

The Carpet in Alladin is so underrated. A character all it’s own its part of such memorable scenes like Jasmina and Alladin’s famous romantic journey through the clouds where they see and sing about “A whole new world”.

Pascal, yes he does blend into the background, what chameleon doesn’t, but let’s not forget this little guy from Disney’s Tangled. Even though he has no lines Rapunzel’s pet is a crowd pleaser and so loyal and protective.

Tip #2: Know Your Movie Locations

It is so easy to forget that Disney spans an incredible 100 years! With so many movie titles and storylines, can you keep all the places and times together? If you can, give yourself a round of applause, if you didn’t know that Sleeping Beauty was trying to stay awake in Bavaria or that The Emperor’s New Groove was dancing the night away at Machu Pichu time for a refresher course.

The inspiration for Tangled comes from the beautiful and unique island of Mont Saint Michel in Normandy, France.

The beauty of the waterfalls in Up is such a highlight. The highest waterfall in Venezuela was the inspiration behind this epic scene.

The Little Mermaid. Before you say “under the sea”, it may surprise you to learn that Prince Eric’s castle was actually designed to look like Chateau de Chillion on Lake Geneva. A lake. I guess under the lake didn’t sound as catchy?!

We don’t know where the real Atlantis (the legendary sunken Greek Island) was but in the Disney movie of Atlantis: The Lost Empire the scenes are inspired by Angkor Wat, Cambodia.

Tip #3: The Lyrics and the Lines

No real Disney Movie Trivia Questions would be complete without some lyrical confusion. You may know the famous lines and sing “Let it Go” a hundred times a week for your kids (or you), but are you sure you know all the words and songs?

Here are a few helpful hints to get you started:

Get the soundtrack and read the lyrics. Think you know where every gizmo and gadget goes in The Little Mermaid’s famous song…double-check you may surprise yourself.

Frozen, is the second-highest-grossing animated movie of all time. Can you remember the lyrics and lines that made this movie a chart-topper? How about the nordic village song, “Frozen Heart”.

It’s not all about the music, there are some timeless Disney quotes that made history as well.

“No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true.” – Cinderella

“‘Ohana means family, and family means no one gets left behind or forgotten.” – Lilo & Stitch
