Tiger Orange to be shown at Bridgewater College

tiger orangeAward-winning independent film director Wade Gasque’s Tiger Orange will be shown at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 16, in Cole Hall at Bridgewater College.

Tiger Orange tells the story of two estranged gay brothers who attempt to make amends in this small-town drama.

A discussion will follow the showing of the film with Gasque and actor Mark Strano. Gasque and Strano co-wrote the screenplay and produced the film.

Gasque was an Academy Nicholl semifinalist for his screenplay Half Truth, as well as a Film Independent Fellow and a finalist in Netflix’s “Find Your Voice Competition.”

His 2013 short film, Housebroken, which starred Strano and was produced by Steakhaus Productions, has played at film festivals worldwide.

Strano has had leading roles in Lizard Boy, Out To Kill and the 90s dramedy Come Together.

The event is free and open to the public.

Bridgewater College is a private, four-year liberal arts college, located in the Central Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Founded in 1880, it was the state’s first private, coeducational college. Today, Bridgewater College is home to approximately 1,800 undergraduate students.
