There is simply no disputing the fact that gambling is one of the most popular and lucrative activities that you can partake in today. And, thanks to its now widespread reach the activity is now easier than ever. Online gambling has made it so that just about everyone and anyone can gamble right from the comfort of their home. Unfortunately, there are also some downsides that do come along with this newfound reach. And, one of those downsides is misconceptions. There are tons of things about gambling that are just skewed. Check out the following examples!

Online Casinos Don’t Like To Pay Out

There are a number of horror stories surrounding the online gambling industry. And, one of them is that online providers do not like to payout. Of course, they don’t like to payout, but this doesn’t mean that they won’t. In fact, it is in their best interest to do so. With companies like the Better Business Bureau, it is nearly impossible for online providers to cheat gamblers these days.

You Only Win With Bonuses

Online casinos like to offer bonuses. There is no hiding this fact, but this doesn’t mean that you only win when bonuses are involved. Yes, there are some good bonuses out there, but just because you are playing a game that offers a bonus it doesn’t necessarily mean that you are guaranteed a win. It also doesn’t mean that you need to wait around for a bonus to show up before playing. Your chances of winning with or without a bonus are equally even.

Online Casinos Encourage Underage Gambling

This is one topic that has gotten a lot of attention over the past several months. However, it is a major misconception in the industry. Online casinos like judi deposit pulsa do not encourage minors to gamble. In fact, most quality casinos have to adhere to strict rules and regulations in order to just keep their doors open. If they got caught offering games to minors or illegal bettors it would be the end of their online career. Now, this doesn’t mean that there aren’t some sites out there that minors can easily get into, but it is certainly not encouraged.

Roulette Does Not Offer 50/50 Odds

If you are familiar with the game of roulette, you already know that you have the option of placing several bets at one time. And, one of those bets that you can place is either the red or black bet. Given that you are only betting on two colors, you would assume that your odds of winning are 50/50 at best. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case. It is pretty close, but if you want to get technical the odds are more like 48.6/50. American versions of the game are even slightly less because of the extra green spaces on the wheel.

Card Counting Is Illegal

The biggest misconception surrounding gambling today is that card counting is illegal. This is simply not true. There is nothing about card counting that is against the law. Of course, partaking in an act like this doesn’t mean that you won’t get banned from a casino, but you won’t get penalized or spend any time in jail for it.
