UVA Lacrosse: James Pannell to miss rest of season with knee injury

Due to a knee injury suffered Thursday in practice, UVA junior attackman James Pannell will miss the remainder of the 2015 season.

James Pannell scored three goals as 13 Cavaliers scored at least one point, but it wasn’t enough as No. 8 UVa. (8-5, 1-4 ACC) fell in a shootout to the No. 2 Duke Blue Devils (10-2, 4-1 ACC) on Friday night, 17-15, inside Klöckner Stadium.

James Pannell scored a career-high seven goals and Mark Cockerton tied a career high with seven points as the No. 4 Virginia Cavaliers (6-0, 1-0 ACC) pulled away from the No. 8 Syracuse Orange (2-2, 0-2 ACC) for a 17-12 triumph on Saturday.
