As part of the announcement of early-season football television selections, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced today start times and broadcast originations for Virginia’s first three games of the 2014 season.


UVa.-VCU men’s basketball game sold out

The No. 24 Virginia men’s basketball game against No. 14 VCU on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. at John Paul Jones Arena is sold out. Virginia opens the season against James Madison on Friday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. at JPJ. Tickets are on sale for this game at four price levels: $15, $16, $19 and $25. Family Package tickets are also on sale for this game.

Will Tony Bennett’s fifth UVa. basketball team finally break through? Basketball writers seem to think so. The Cavs were ranked 24th in the preseason Associated Press Top 25 poll released Thursday. The preseason ranking is the first for the program since Virginia started the 2001-2002 season at #11.
