The works of the three winners of the Waynesboro Cultural Commission’s 2014 Short Film Festival will be available on the City of Waynesboro access channel (#7 on Comcast and #20 on Lumos) at 11 am and 6 pm beginning September 16 and continuing to October 15.
Ever mindful that change in the climate and with an eye on the forecast for Friday, August 22, the Wayne Theatre Alliance has reluctantly announced that the Radio Hour season opener will be moved from the street in front of the Wayne Theatre to the Fellowship Hall of the Main Street United Methodist Church in Waynesboro.
The River City Radio Hour begins the new season in an open-air performance in downtown Waynesboro. The traditional August opener will be on the 500 block of West Main Street. With the Wayne Theatre as a backdrop, the Friday, August 22 at 7:00pm Radio Hour will again bring music, comedy and drama to its audience.
The purpose of the Waynesboro Cultural Commission is to support the arts and culture in Waynesboro. One of the worst things a group can do is commit time and energy to something simply because “we’ve always done it.”
One of the Valley’s longest running productions completes its seventh season on June 20 when the River City Radio Hour takes it final bow at WTA’s Gateway.
The Waynesboro Cultural Commission will present ten of the best entries in its 2013 and 2014 Short Film Competition at WTA’s Gateway, 329 West Main in downtown Waynesboro on Sunday June 22.
