Susan Allen toured local businesses in Waynesboro on Monday as part of the “Virginia Voices” campaign of her husband, U.S. Senate candidate George Allen.
Joined by State Del. Dickie Bell, R-Staunton, Susan Allen listened to job-creators in the community as they share their voices, stories and ideas for promoting economic growth and job creation in the greater Afton Mountain region.
She began her day with a tour of United Servo Hydraulics, a local company that specializes in the sale and repair of hydraulic components. For over two decades, United Servo has been dedicated to customer service and competitive prices, allowing them to grow and expand from their original 5,000 square foot facility into their current 40,000-square-foot facility.
“I am happy to welcome Susan Allen to Waynesboro as she shares George’s positive vision and proven solutions for a more prosperous future,” said Bell. “George Allen would be a leader in the Senate who is committed to giving businesses the freedom and confidence they need to become centers of innovation and job creation. It is vital for our economy that we utilize our energy resources and build more opportunities for Virginia’s skilled and talented workforce. Virginia families and businesses can’t afford six more years of the same failed economic policies coming out of Washington. We need to elect George Allen to bring new leadership to the U.S. Senate.”
This afternoon, Susan Allen also toured the largest total logistics company in Virginia, Reo Distribution, which provides services such as transportation and warehouse solutions.
“George and I envision a brighter future for Virginia families and businesses,” said Susan Allen. “As we have listened to Virginians throughout the Commonwealth, we are encouraged to see the innovation, hard work and perseverance of businesses of all shapes and sizes. But we also hear about the burdens of high taxes, excessive regulations, and the government health care tax law that is diminishing opportunities. George believes Virginia job-creators should have a federal government that works with them – not against them. George is ready to bring Virginia’s voices back to the U.S. Senate, and we’re asking all Virginians to support George for positive, proven leadership in Washington.”
