Submissions open for 25th anniversary Virginia Festival of the Book

Virginia Festival of the BookThe Virginia Festival of the Book, a program of Virginia Humanities, announces that it is now accepting submissions for the 2019 Festival, which will take place March 20-24, 2019, in Charlottesville and Albemarle County.

Each year, the Virginia Festival of the Book invites submissions of original, published books of fiction (all genres), nonfiction, poetry, and children’s and young adult literature. Writers, illustrators, and other publishing professionals with a new book published in 2018 or early 2019 are encouraged to submit their books for consideration.

The Festival encourages submissions by individuals from diverse backgrounds, including race and ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation, class, and/or abilities. All genres are accepted.

Submission guidelines and the online form to submit are available at Only online submissions will be accepted. The deadline to submit is October 1, 2018.
