The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Waynesboro is presenting a study series on Progressive Christianity: Reclaiming Christianity for All.
The series begins on Tuesday, Jan. 11th at 7 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Waynesboro, 565 Pine Ave., Waynesboro.
This nine-session series will explore an interpretation of Christianity that is inclusive, innovative and informed and offers a constructive alternative to religious exclusivism.
Series topics will include:
Critique of conservative/fundamentalist Christianity
Critical understanding of the Bible based on New Testament Scholoarship
Authentic Jesus vs. Jesus of faith
Belief, faith and values. How are they different?
Christianity and religious pluralism
Ethical implications of progressive Christianity/application to contemporary moral issues
