Queen City Mischief & Magic festival

The entire Downtown Staunton area will be closed to traffic beginning at 3 p.m., Friday, Sept. 28 and continuing through 6 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 30 for the Queen City Mischief & Magic festival.

The map below (see end of article) illustrates the streets that will be closed to vehicular traffic. On-street parking will generally be inaccessible in the area outlined on the map, and motorists should look out for parking restrictions all over the City.

For All City Residents

The City is encouraging all residents, particularly those located downtown, to prepare for significant traffic delays and disruptions in and around downtown and to plan travel routes accordingly.

The Staunton Police Department will post fliers on vehicles parked downtown two weeks in advance of the event as a reminder of street closures and parking restrictions. Vehicles located in the event area after 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28 will be subject to towing.

For Downtown Residents

Because parking will be restricted on all streets impacted by the event, residents of downtown are encouraged to obtain a parking pass from QCMM.

If you live within the boundary pictured in the map below, please complete the QCMM Residential Parking Pass Registration form to a obtain parking pass before 5 p.m., Friday, Sept. 21.

QCMM organizers will provide parking passes on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Visit the parking pass registration page for further instructions and information.

For Downtown Businesses

If you operate a downtown business, the Staunton Downtown Development Association (SDDA) will provide support and instructions in advance of the QCMM festival. Watch for emails regarding the event and stay tuned to the SDDA Facebook page for the latest.

For Visitors

QCMM visitors can find an event schedule, activities map, answers to frequently asked questions, parking and shuttle information and more on the Queen City Mischief & Magic website. Please visit the QCMM FAQ page for complete information. You may also follow QCMM on FacebookTwitter and Instagram to stay up-to-date throughout the festival.

Because available parking near downtown will be limited, event organizers are encouraging visitors to use satellite parking.
