Staunton Augusta Art Center Art for Gifts

The Staunton Augusta Art Center announces details for the annual, juried Art for Gifts exhibition and sale Nov. 17-Dec. 31.

There is no admission fee and Art for Gifts is open every day of the week (except Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day) from 10am-6pm Mondays-Saturdays and 1-4pm Sundays.  Art for Gifts is located in the Staunton Augusta Art Center galleries at the R. R. Smith Center for History and Art, 20 S. New Street, across from the New Street parking garage in historic Downtown Staunton.

In the coming week, Staunton Augusta Art Center staff and volunteers will transform the art galleries in the Smith Center into a full, holiday shopping boutique comprised of works by 70 Virginia artists and artisans.  Many of these known artists will be exhibiting in Art for Gifts for the first time.  A list of participants is attached.

Art for Gifts offers shoppers a wide variety of quality, unique, handmade fine art and craft at a variety of price points to suit the most serious art collector or the employer seeking office gifts.  Art for Gifts offers accepted artists and artisans an opportunity to exhibit and sell their works.  These two objectives are the epitome of the two-fold mission statement of the 51 year old non-profit Staunton Augusta Art Center: to provide opportunities to gallery visitors to appreciate quality art and to support artists and artisans in the process.

Staunton Augusta Art Center members are invited to a preview party on Friday, November 16, 5-8pm.  Members receive a 10% discount throughout the sale.  Prospective members are encouraged to contact the Staunton Augusta Art Center at 540-885-2028 or to join at the venue.

The cost to join for one year is $40 per individual or $60 for a family membership.
