Squirrels welcome Washington Redskins to Richmond

redskins-helmet1The Richmond Flying Squirrels, Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, are hosting Welcome to Richmond Day in conjunction with the Washington Redskins arrival for Training Camp.

Welcome to Richmond Day will be hosted at The Diamond on Sunday, July 31st and will highlight the Redskins organization and many of the Training Camp Ambassadors that work with the team throughout camp. The Squirrels will host the Redskins Ambassadors and recognize them for their dedication to the City of Richmond during the game. Redskins Safety DeAngelo Hall, a Virginia native, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Tickets for the event are available by visiting www.squirrelsbaseball.com. Gates open at 11:00 AM on Sunday July, 31st. Richmond returns home tonight, Thursday, July 28th against New Hampshire with Fireworks and Friends Tribute Night. Redskins Training Camp Information

The Redskins will bring training camp to Richmond for the fourth-straight year. The Redskins will feature a total of 22 public on-field sessions that will be free and open to the public. Most days will feature full-speed, 11-on-11 football.
