Single lane closure on Interstate 81 in New Market area may cause delays

interstate 81Bridge work over Route 211 on Interstate 81 southbound near mile marker 264 may cause delays this afternoon. This location is in the New Market area of Shenandoah County.

The left lane has construction equipment at this location and is closed for this work.  The right remains open to traffic. All lanes are expected to reopen to traffic by 7 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22.

Nighttime single lane closures will continue northbound and southbound Monday through Friday, 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. with an estimated completion date of July 29.

All work is weather permitting.
