Shenandoah University baseball ranked in preseason national poll

shenandoah universityThe Shenandoah University baseball team has earned a pre-season ranking in poll results released earlier this week by Collegiate Baseball.

The defending ODAC champion Hornets are ranked 27th in the publication’s poll with 212 points.

Shenandoah, coming off of a 35-12 season, is three points back of Adrian (Mich.) and two in front of North Central (Ill.).

Wooster (Ohio) is the pre-season No. 1. The Scots have 285 points to outdistance UW-Whitewater by four points at the top of the 40-team poll.

SU is one of three ODAC teams in the pre-season poll. Randolph-Macon is seventh and Roanoke 30th.

Shenandoah opens its 2019 season on February 16 versus No. 5 Misericordia.

In addition to R-MC, RC and Misericordia, the Hornets have No. 31 Ithaca on the 2019 slate.
