Shenandoah County: Part of Route 758 reopens

road work transportationVDOT has reopened the eastern portion of Route 758 (Woodstock Tower Road) in Shenandoah County. This section of the roadway runs between Fort Valley and the top of Massanutten Mountain. It allows motorists to access recreational sites maintained by the United States Forest Service, including Woodstock Tower and the adjacent hang-glider launch site.

The western portion of Route 758 remains closed due to damage from a slope failure. Barricades prevent access between Stagecoach Road and the Woodstock Tower parking area. VDOT is developing repair plans, but there is no estimate for reopening the western section of the road. All work is weather permitting.
