Shakin’ announces 2012 season

The 2012 Shakin’ at the Station concert series is set with an opening date of May 17 and concerts slated all the way through the end of August.

The 2011 season generated $30,000 and each of the 15 charities involved took home a total of $2,000.  The 2012 Shakin’ Series looks to build on last year’s success.  The band schedule and beneficiaries have been announced!

May 17 –   Mirage will play and New Directions will be the night’s charity.

May 24 –   The Hackens Boys will play and Augusta Regional Free Clinic will be the night’s charity.

May 31 –   The Goodson Band will play and National Wild Turkey Federation will be the night’s charity.

June 7 –    Full Circle will play and Stuarts Draft Rescue Squad will be the night’s charity.

June 14 –  Full Throttle will play and Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation will be the night’s charity.

June 21 –  The Worx will play and L.e.a.r.n. will be the night’s charity.

June 28 –  Southern Company will play and The Family Resource & Referral Center will be the night’s charity.

July 12 –   Three rock bands from the Staunton Music Guild will play and Staunton Music Guild, Inc. will be the night’s charity.

July 19 –   SP511 will play and Swoope Volunteer Fire Dept. will be the night’s charity.

July 26 –   Final Hour will play and Hogs will be the night’s charity.

Aug. 2 –    Maybe Tomorrow will play and StarGazers will be the night’s charity.

Aug. 9 –    The Goodson Band will play and Augusta Health Vol. Auxiliary will be the night’s charity.

Aug. 16 –  Fatty Lumpkin and the Love Hogs will play and Valley Music Academy will be the night’s charity.

Aug. 23 –  Free Spirit will play and H.O.P.E. will be the night’s charity.

Aug. 30 –  Modern Tactics will play and Riverfest will be the night’s charity.
