Update: Missing Augusta County woman located

Update: Tuesday, June 30, 2:22 p.m. Carla Ann Piper has been safely located by law enforcement and is no longer endangered.

 

Original post: Friday June 26, 11:10 a.m. An Augusta County woman who has sent messages to a friend suggesting possible self-harm is the subject of a missing-person’s investigation.

The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office reports that Carla Ann Piper, 36, was last seen on Thursday at 12:15 p.m.

The report said Piper had been dropped off at Augusta Health Thursday afternoon, and later sent concerning messages to a friend, who contacted authorities.

Piper is 5’5″, 160 pounds, with black hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing a turquoise hoodie and carrying a turquoise handbag
with a white stripe.
