Robert E. Lee High School dance to raise money for Stop Hunger Now

staunton2editsRobert E. Lee High School’s Key Club and National Honor Society are coming together to stop hunger now in a fun way.

These student-led clubs are sponsoring a winter dance in the Lee High Cafeteria on Friday, February 27. The cost is five dollars and all proceeds are donated to Stop Hunger Now.

This event is for Lee students or any high school student that is invited by a Leeman. The dress code is semi-formal, so take out that dress you bought but have not worn yet, or that dress shirt that is in the back of your closet that your mom bought for you, and come out and raise money for a good cause while having a good time in the process.

Key Club president Ruthie Schultz and vice president Abby Rasheed both thought hosting a dance would be the best way to raise money for Stop Hunger Now.

“Lee needs to have more events, and having a dance is a good way to bring the school together,” Rasheed said.

The members of these clubs are working hard together to make it a fun night. Schultz also adds that she hopes “Lee can continue to do stuff like this in the future and make it better and better each year.”

They are so excited and hope for a big turnout. Put on your dancing shoes and come stop hunger now!
