staunton2editsGrandpa’s Little White Truck Goes on Picnic by Jerry Johns is a fun story about an outside celebration, a picnic, where grandchildren and grandparents have a simple but wonderful time in the great outdoors. Every celebration has some problem, and Grandpa solves this one … plus the “Little White Truck” even gets a surprise!

Jerry John is a retired United Methodist minister who served forty-two years in churches across Virginia.  He and his wife Mary now live in Harrisonburg where he is embarking on his ‘second career’ as an author.  His first children’s book, Grandpa’s Little White Truck, was followed by Fee the Flea … both released in hard- & softcover editions, and as coloring books!  Following these came Great Living, a daily devotional, and now the second title in the “Grandpa’s Little White Truck” series is out.

Book-signing at Bookworks, 101 W. Beverley St., Staunton, on Saturday, August 3rd … 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
