footballstock1Bob Ladouceur, the record-setting coach depicted in the film When the Game Stands Tall, will speak at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 2, in Cole Hall at Bridgewater College.

The embodiment of teamwork, Ladouceur shares his wisdom on what it takes for employees, students and organizations of any kind to always bring their “A” game. He draws parallels to success on the field with success in life.

Ladouceur was the head football coach at De La Salle High School in Concord, Calif., for 34 seasons with a 399-25-3 career record. He also holds the longest winning streak in high school sports with 151 games.

Retiring as head coach in 2013, Ladouceur is an assistant varsity football coach at De La Salle and is a health, physical education and recreation instructor.

Sponsored by the Zane Showker Leadership Institute, the event is free and open to the public.

Bridgewater College is a private, four-year liberal arts college, located in the Central Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Founded in 1880, it was the state’s first private, coeducational college. Today, Bridgewater College is home to approximately 1,800 undergraduate students.
