Get Ready Richmond Concert Featuring Rascal Flatts Rewind Tour with special guest Kellie Pickler Saturday, September 27th at 7 pm on the grounds at the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center. Gates open at 3:00 pm with additional music and other activities by Kevin Mac and Prospect 7.

E.J. Wade Foundation, a Mechanicsville based not-for-profit organization, is presenting the concert in an effort to raise awareness for disaster preparedness among residents and businesses in the Central Virginia region. The foundation will utilize net proceeds from this concert to purchase disaster relief essentials such as 200 gas powered generators and tractor trailer loads of bottled water. In addition, the foundation will fund a project for the Greater Richmond Chapter Red Cross in order to address unmet needs. “When our people traveled to New York to assist with hurricane sandy relief efforts, we quickly realized just how important generator power and bottle water is to relief efforts,” stated Jeff Wade, co-founder of E.J. Wade Foundation. “We see this concert as an opportunity to help educate our citizens on how to better protect themselves in any disaster situation and in turn we will be better prepared, as a foundation, to respond to crisis in our community and across the country.”

Get Ready Richmond featuring Rascal Flatts’ Rewind Tour will be the first concert to be held at the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center since it opened in the summer of 2013. “The grounds at the Training Center are the perfect venue to welcome Rascal Flatts to the city of Richmond,” said Mayor Dwight C. Jones. “Bringing quality entertainment coupled with a public service purpose is exactly the type of off-season activity I envisioned the new facility igniting. I’m excited.”

Rascal Flatts has sold over 22.5 million albums and over 28 million digital downloads with 15 #1 singles. Rascal Flatts, comprised of band members Gary LeVox, Joe Don Rooney and Jay DeMarcus, is the most awarded Country group of the past decade, earning over 40 trophies from the ACAs, ACMs, AMAs, CMAs, People’s Choice Awards and more. As one of the hottest-selling acts on tour in any genre, they’ve sold over 7 million concert tickets, and counting.

Committed to giving back, they are known for their charitable work, which includes raising three million dollars for the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville. It’s something close to all of their hearts. “To give back when you’re in a position to give seems like a natural thing to do,” says Jay DeMarcus. “It’s our responsibility as three guys who’ve been very blessed.”
