Radio Hour swings into summer

The River City Radio Hour will end its fifth season on June 15th with a special “Swing into Summer” program.

Featured on the show will be the swinging duo of Susan Rosen and Mary Beth Revak.  They will join the Boogie Kings to set hearts and feet a’ dancing.  Also on the June performance will be songwriter/poet Duffy and Marsha Howard who will provide the laughs for the finale of the fifth season at WTA’s Gateway in Downtown Waynesboro.

Susan Rosen and Mary Beth Revak are familiar to music lovers who have heard them sing with ACME Swing Mfg. Co. band.  Audiences marvel at the close harmonies and distinctive interpretation of the American songbook.  Those who love the great sounds of 40’s will love their sound.

Duffy (aka David Young) is the cobbler with a talent for songwriting and poetry.  On the June Radio Hour he will provide both.  Marsha Howard is preparing for the summer hiatus by bringing her best jokes to the Radio Hour audience, enough to keep them laughing until the sixth season starts.

Behind this array of talent are the Boogie Kings under the leadership of the man of many talents, Richard Adams.  Performing with him is William Hayes on keyboard and J. T. Fauber on percussion.

The performances are at 6:30 and 8:00 pm at WTA’s Gateway at 329 West Main in the heart of downtown Waynesboro.  Tickets are $10 and can be purchase online at www.wtagateway.com or by calling the WTA box office (540-943-9999)
