Press Conference: Mike London
What is your strategy on guys returning kicks from four or five yards deep in the end zone?
It depends on who’s back there, number one. And then obviously the returner’s got to see the ball. He also has to have a sense of the guys that are coming down field. There are a few factors that go into it.
What we want to do is advance the ball beyond the 20, to the 30, 35. You want to try to at least gain a first down, get beyond the 20. And so if you’re in three yards deep in the end zone and you try to take it out then it’s at least 23 yards you have to travel just to get it to the 20.
