Mojo Saturday Night: The Blues, The Whole Blues, and Nothin’ But the Blues!

A voice that good, they always want more! Even after their incredible opening set at the Waynesboro Chili, Blues and Brews Festival in September was completed, the crowd did not want her to stop… Erin Lunsford and the Smokey Bandits will bring that energy to their debut on Mojo Saturday Night on Saturday, November 17 at WTA’s Gateway in downtown Waynesboro. Joining them will be Emma Leigh and Buddy Thomas. The performance begins at 8 pm with the doors opening at 7:30 pm.

Lorie Strother: Open Mic Throwback

The first Open Mic Talent Night of the season was intimate as usual with some new faces mixed with old. Speaking of old, one familiar act, The Early Dawn Drifters, debuted with a new member, Tyler, who took the crowd back to another place in time with his playing of the pedal steel guitar. My conversation with Tyler revealed that he’d been playing the instrument for only two years but had been playing the banjo for many more (I recollect 12 years).

The November Richard Adams Variety Show will There feature an update on Bill Martin’s run for the Presidency. (He should have won the election by then). Bill is running under the “Coffee Party” platform”. He’s going to make members of Congress drink coffee and not be able to go to the restroom until they “work it out”.
