The Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge recently announced at a gathering of its donors, volunteers, and community partners that so far in 2014 it has received new contributions and commitments of over $8.5 million.

The popular musical group Gabby Haze returns to WTA’s Gateway on Saturday, April 5 with their mix of musical genres. After their first appearance in December of 2011, the fans keep asking for them to return.

Five area nonprofits received gifts totaling $7,500 from the Waynesboro Kiwanis Club at the club’s regular meeting on Tuesday at the Waynesboro Country Club.

Vector Industries employees are much cooler these days, thanks to a grant from the Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge. The grant paid for a large industrial fan for the Building A warehouse, where about 50 employees work on projects ranging from packaging and warehousing to assembly and quality control.
