lgo_mlb_baltimore_oriolesBaltimore scored four runs in the second, but Collin McHugh and two reliever shut down the Orioles from there as Houston topped the O’s, 6-4, Tuesday night.

McHugh (6-2) didn’t give up a hit after the second, allowing just a walk over his last five innings of work, with a finishing stat line of seven innings pitched, four runs, all earned, on six hits, with six strikeouts and two walks.

Houston did most of its damage in the third, scoring five runs off Baltimore starter Mike Wright (2-1), the big blows coming on a two-run homer by Evan Gattis, his 12th of the season, and a solo shot by Luis Valbuena, his 12th of 2015.

Wright went five innings, allowing five runs, all earned, on eight hits, striking out four and walking one.

The loss drops Baltimore (23-28) to a season-worst five games below .500.
