OASIS opens New Members Exhibit

OASIS Fine Art & Craft in historic downtown Harrisonburg invites the community to be among the first to visit and purchase exciting works by its five newest members.

The New Members Exhibit, as well as the regular sales gallery, is open daily.  The exhibit, which runs Feb. 3 to March 31, will be celebrated with a free open house on Friday, Feb. 3 5-7pm.

New members in the exhibit are:

Kathryn Cramer Brown – digital compositions
Jane Ritchey – oil painting
Judith N. Ligon – mixed media  (long-time member exhibiting enamel and polymer clay jewelry, newly juried in for mixed media paintings;  also past president of OASIS)
Nicholas Seitz – photography
Jilly Weigel – jewelry

Three other exhibits continue through March 31:  “From the Heart…”–member works on Valentine’s and other themes of love, Elaine Hurst’s oil painting exhibit “A Different Perspective”, and the Stonewall Jackson Prayer Tree wood items that are being sold to benefit the Wounded Warriors Foundation.

OASIS Fine Art & Craft is accepting applications for artisan/artist membership by February 5 for membership to begin in March.  Members will receive promotion, seven-day-a-week sales and an opportunity to sell through OASIS shared booth at Harrisonburg Farmers Market.
