Finn BálorNew WWE Universal champ Finn Bálor could be out as long as four to six months due to a shoulder injury suffered at SummerSlam.

Bálor was injured early in his title match with former WWE champ Seth Rollins from a running powerbomb outside the ring.

He recovered and was able to work the entire match and defeat Rollins to win the championship, but it was determined on Monday that he had suffered a torn labrum.

Bálor is scheduled to receive a surgical consult that will determine the extent of Bálor’s injury and what his recovery time will be. If surgery and rehab are required, Bálor could be facing a recovery time of “anywhere from four to six months,” according to ringside physician Dr. Chris Robinson.

Bálor relinquished the championship Monday night on WWE’s flagship weekly TV show Raw.
