A new website developed by Augusta Free Press LLC for the City of Waynesboro, the Waynesboro Redevelopment and Housing Authority and Waynesboro Downtown Development Inc. is your one-stop shop for news and detailed information on the ongoing downtown-improvement project.
The site – www.RevitalizingDowntownWaynesboro.com – is a resource for details on the work ongoing in Downtown Waynesboro. Project information highlighted on the site includes the South River Greenway, downtown streetscape, bridge improvements and the facade-grant program.
AFP worked with staff from the city, WRHA and WDDI to develop a fully customized template for the new site.
“The project was a challenge, both in terms of what the staff wanted to be able to do and the budget constraints,” said Chris Graham, the president of Augusta Free Press LLC and the lead developer for AFP on the project.
AFP staff committed more than 30 hours of work to the project and completed it within the $400 budget.
“We’re citizens of Waynesboro and downtown business owners, too, so we wanted to go the extra mile to make sure that the city got what it wanted out of the project, and that we all get something that can best promote what the city is trying to do to improve the downtown business district,” Graham said.
