Mental-health awareness event set for May 15

Please join NAMI “WE CARE” Augusta on May 15, 2012 from 5:30- 8:30 p.m. for an evening of art as they celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month by offering A Journey of Wellness and Recovery.

Dinner will be provided. Call Cindy Caldwell at 540-332-8022 to reserve your space.

The event will be held at Central United Methodist Church in Staunton (at the corner of Lewis and Beverley). NAMI “WE CARE” Augusta aims to provide the community support, education and resources on mental health, free of charge.

NAMI “WE CARE” Augusta, a local non-profit organization, is dedicated to improving the quality of life for people directly or indirectly affected by mental health issues. NAMI “WE CARE” Augusta provides therapeutic support groups to the community by offering education on mental health issues and advocating for mental health services at the local level.

NAMI “WE CARE” Augusta welcomes the public to join their monthly meetings on the third Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm at Central United Methodist Church. The meetings include a variety of wonderful speakers on topics pertaining to mental health and well-being.
