About the Keydets

The Keydets fought hard Friday against regionally-ranked Manhattan College, keeping the score close much of the way before falling 5-1. VMI freshman Marco Reyes netted the first goal of his young career at the 55:19 mark of the second half, on a cross from Jason Nunez, to cut the lead to 3-1. Freshman keeper Broden Schull made eight saves in net.

About the Purple Eagles

Niagara (1-4) suffered a 3-0 defeat at Liberty University Friday evening. The Purple Eagles dropped the first three matches of their season before defeating Hartford 2-1 in double overtime on Monday. Luca Pacheco and Dylan Avila both had scores in the victory.

Common opponents: Liberty defeated both teams this season, VMI 5-0 on August 28 and Niagara 3-0 on September 9.
