Mathers Construction spreads Christmas cheer

mathers constructionMathers Construction donated 35 copies of the children’s book The Story of Baby Jesus to the Main Street United Methodist Church Preschool.

“We try to encourage our employees to give back to the community, and this is one way we’re giving back this Christmas season,” said Ashley Gauldin, the safety director at Mathers, dropping off the overflowing box of books Thursday morning.

Mathers also provided Christmas gifts for 12 area families through the local Angel Tree program this year.

“This is our way of saying thanks to a community that has been so good to us over the years,” Gauldin said.
