Massanutten Resort to host Summer Jam Festival on July 3

massanutten resortMassanutten Resort’s 19th annual Summer Jam festival will take place on Tuesday, July 3 from 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Featuring live music, arts and crafts vendors, food vendors, a beer & wine garden, kids’ activities, and fireworks, this year’s event is the perfect summer festival for families.

Event features include:

  • Live Music | Known for entertaining all ages with country, rock, and hip hop covers, Baltimore’s Kanye Twitty will headline the event. Other can’t-miss musical acts include Essential Vybe and 7 Mile Ford.
  • Kid’s Corner | Activities will include cornhole, an outdoor KerPlunk game, sand art and face painting*.
  • Food Vendors | Kona Ice, K’s Grill, Grillizza, Big Fat Daddy’s, Jack Brown’s Burger Joint and Crab Cakes.
  • Beer & Wine Garden | Beer selection will include Angry Orchard Crisp Apple Cider, Angry Orchard Rose Cider, Sam Adams Lager, Sam Adams New England IPA, Sam Adams 76, Truly Wild Berry, Sam Adams Rebel Juiced IPA, Sam Adams Summer, Blue Moon Belgium, Blue Moon Mango Wheat, Coors Light, Miller High Life, Leinenkugel Summer Shandy, Miller Lite, Peroni, Pilsner Urquell, Redds Apple Ale, and Henrys Hard Sparkling Lemon Lime. Wine will feature CrossKeys Joy Red & Joy White wine.  Tickets are $4 per adult and include a 12 oz. beer.
  • Spectacular Fireworks Show | Known to be one of the best firework shows in the region, the Summer Jam fireworks will be set off at the Massanutten Peak at 10:00 p.m.

In addition, other activities will include henna tattoos, seated massages and RVA Hoop House.

Advance tickets are now on sale for just $15 online, at the Massanutten Resort Concierge Desk, The Market, or The General Store through July 2. Kids six and under are free. All proceeds benefit the Rockingham/Harrisonburg SPCA.

“Here at the Rockingham-Harrisonburg SPCA, we are so excited for all the fun and entertainment planned for Summer 2018,” said Emily Eby, Development/Fundraising Manager for R-H SPCA. “Summer Jam is our largest fundraiser and all the proceeds go to making sure the hungry are fed, the homeless are given shelter, and the abandoned have hope. We greatly appreciate all the attendees and volunteers for their support.”

For those still in need of a place to stay before or after the event, there are still Massanutten Resort Hotels and condos available online, starting at just $95/night. No minimum stay is required for Massanutten Resort Hotels, but condos are a minimum two-night stay.
