Amherst County:
Route 29, Madison Heights Bypass – Crew will paint and retrace markings.
Route 29 & 29 Bus– Shoulder widening/rumble strips/guardrail upgrades. Lane closures likely.
Route 29 Bus –Replace median barrier. Lane closures. Est. comp. – April 2019.
Route 151 (601- county line) – Shoulder widening & rumble strip project through October 28.
Appomattox County:
Route 460 E, Appomattox Bypass –Right lane closure with 11’ travel lane and concrete barrier in place during project including overlay; expect delays. Changes in traffic pattern, ramp closures and detours will occur. Signs and message boards will alert motorists. Est. comp. Fall 2018.
Route 663 over Bent Creek (611-616) – Road closed for bridge deck replacement and repairs. Detour via 616, 615, and 26.
Buckingham County:
Route 15– Crew will paint and retrace marking, as well as work on pavement messages and signage.
Route 20 (Rt. 15- James River Bridge, Albemarle) – Pavement widening, rumble strips, guardrail replacement/upgrades & paving through summer. Flaggers/pilot vehicles in use.
Route 633, Andersonville AHQ – Crew will work shoulders and replace pipe.
Route 639 (at 633 intersections) – Closed 7/30-10/19 for bridge replacement. Detour: 633 & 639.
Dillwyn AHQ – Crew will work Rural Rustic projects.
Various – Crews will mow, work surfaces and respond to customer concerns.
Campbell County:
Route 24 @ 646 – Construction of roundabout & other improvements. Truck traffic over 44 ft restricted. Signage and traffic control in place.
Routes 29/460 & 501 – Crew will replace back plates on signals.
Route 737 over tributary Falling River (651-656) – Road closed 7/30-mid-September for culvert replacement. Detour via Routes 651, 24 and 656.
Charlotte County:
Route 360, Craftons Gate AHQ – Crew will install turn lanes at Heartland Industrial Park.
Route 608, Craftons Gate AHQ – Crew will work on safety project.
Craftons Gate AHQ – Crew will boom axe.
Phenix AHQ – Crew will mow at various locations.
Various – Crews will work surfaces and respond to customer concerns.
Cumberland County:
Various – Crew will mow, work surfaces/shoulders/ditches and respond to customer concerns.
Halifax County:
Routes 58 & 360 – Crew will work on signage.
Route 733 bridge over North Fork Creek – Weight limit lowered from 21 tons to 18 tons due to deterioration.
Bethel AHQ – Crew will work surfaces and clean ditches.
Various–Crews will mow and respond to customer requests.
Lynchburg:
Liberty Mtn Dr – Ramp to 460 E closed for roundabout project.
Odd Fellows to US 29 Exp. –Completing paving, entrances, and utility work associated with road construction. Temporary lane closures may occur. Bridge over RR closed for approximately 1 yr – date to be determined.
University Blvd –Road closure, signed detour until mid-August for roundabout construction.
Nelson County:

Pittsylvania County:
Route 644 (750-626) – Road will be closed July 27 – August 10 for reconstruction. Detour via 644, 750, 649 and 626.
Route 666 over Elkhorn Creek (1051-680) – Road closed 7/30-mid-October for bridge replacement. Detour via Routes 680, 686, and 640.
Route 685 bridge over Georges Creek – Weight limit lowered from 25 tons to 15 tons due to deterioration.
Route 751 over Reddies Creek (40-752) – Road closed 9/10-10/19 for bridge replacement. Detour via 40 and 626.
Route 761 bridge over stream – Weight limit lowered from 23 tons to 20 tons due to deterioration.
Route 800 over Bearskin Creek (750-799) – Road closed 7/30-9/7/2018 for culvert replacement. Detour via Routes 750, 649, and 799.
Brosville, Gretna and Mt. Airy AHQs – Crews will boom axe.
Rondo AHQ – Crew will clean roadsides.
Mt. Airy AHQ – Crew will cut limbs at various locations.
Various –Crews will mow, work surfaces, shoulders and/or ditches and respond to customers.
Prince Edward County:
Route 460 W –Milling/paving overnight from bypass toward Prospect. Est. comp. summer 2018.
Route 622 bridge over NS Railway – Weight limit lowered from 6 tons to 4 tons due to deterioration.
Route 691 and other locations – Surface treatment operations will take place.
Various – Crew will mow, cut brush, remove debris, work surfaces and respond to customer concerns.
District-wide activities:
Bridge maintenance – Crews will perform maintenance on bridges.
Guardrail maintenance – Crews will do guardrail maintenance.
Line painting/pavement marking – Crews will address work orders/requests.
Pavement marking – Contractor will work on pavement markings at various locations.
