Colocation services provide a secure environment for customers’ servers and data storage, enabling them to reduce risks such as security breaches, fire and flood.

Colocation is attractive to a variety of customers from small businesses to large enterprises. In some cases it is because they have insufficient space, power and cooling to add new servers and storage. For others it is the need for redundancy afforded by geographically dispersed systems.
“Some customers have specifically asked to place their servers many miles and several hours away while others wish to have access within an hour or so drive. With colocation sites in six cities in Virginia and West Virginia, customers will now have a number of options,” said Drinkhall.
