The Greater Augusta community will join people across the country who are taking action on Monday, June 21st – the day with more daylight hours than any other this year.

The third annual Day of Action will join volunteers across the area and across the country in projects and opportunities designed to make their communities better places to live.

Those interested in finding that perfect volunteer opportunity in the Greater Augusta area can do so online at www.uwgavolunteercenter.org and choose from on of the many volunteer descriptions to get further information on the organization, skills needed and other details.

Organizations can register with the site listing multiple projects and needs.

“This site has allowed our community partners and other nonprofits in the Greater Augusta area to tap into a wealth energy,” said United Way of Greater Augusta Executive Director Cynthia Pritchard. “By centralizing opportunities for volunteerism, the UWGA is truly fulfilling the Give, Advocate, Volunteer focus that is central to this organization.”
