Local Democrats to discuss legislative redistricting

The Staunton, Augusta County & Waynesboro Democratic Committees will hold their monthly program & meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 8, beginning at 7 p.m. at Staunton City Hall, 116 W. Beverly Street, 1st floor City Council Meeting Room in Staunton.

The informational program will cover the issue of gerrymandering as it dramatically affects our local primaries, district and state elections.

There is ample street parking and free parking in the Wharf parking lot on Johnson Street. The City Hall front doors are locked by 7 p.m.; use the Police Station entrance off Central Avenue, take the elevator up to the 1st floor, turn right and come to the City Council meeting room.

Augusta Free Press content is available for free, as it has been since 2002, save for a disastrous one-month experiment at putting some content behind a pay wall back in 2009.
