Liberty FootballSingle game tickets for the 2018 Liberty football season are now on sale and available for purchase through the Liberty University Ticket Office.

Liberty opens its first season at the FBS level, college football’s highest level of competition, on Sept. 1 when the Flames welcome in-state foe Old Dominion to a newly renovated Williams Stadium.

To celebrates the Flames move to the FBS level, Liberty Athletics will give the first 5,000 fans through the Williams Stadium gates on Sept. 1 an FBS inaugural season commemorative coin. The coin will give Flames Nation a tangible keepsake to remember one of the most memorable days in athletics department history.

With 17 days remaining before the Flames’ home opener, Liberty Athletics has already surpassed its previous record for season tickets sold and is 61 percent ahead of its season tickets sold total of this point last year.

In addition to the new stadium amenities, all fans who purchase a ticket to a game this season will have access to the new Flames Fan Fest program event inside the Liberty Indoor Practice Facility.

In preparation for the Flames’ first season at the FBS level, seating at Williams Stadium has been expanded to 25,000 with a new upper deck seating area on the East side of the facility, plus a new entrance to the stadium that includes a berm seating area.

Other improvements to the stadium including, more seating options, all reserved seating on West side, enhanced Wi-Fi on East side, a new state-of-the-art video board four times larger than the previous board, additional concessions and restrooms and increased security measures to continue the family-friendly experience Flames fans have come to love.

Rise With Us: The Process

On Feb. 16, 2017, the NCAA approved Liberty’s waiver request to begin the two-year FBS reclassification process. Liberty completed its final season as a FCS program in 2017, playing as a member of the Big South Conference.

The Flames will host their first FBS home game against Old Dominion on Sept. 1, 2018, the first of four FBS teams to visit Williams Stadium in 2018 to meet the FBS reclassification criteria. The 2018 home schedule also features FBS matchups against North Texas (Sept. 22), Troy (Oct. 13) and New Mexico State (Nov. 24).

In the event that Liberty is invited to the AutonNation Cure Bowl, Flames Club members will have priority for tickets and other associated events and privileges.
