liberty-flames21The Big South Conference office announced Sunday that Liberty’s Nov. 14 football game at Charleston Southern has been picked up by ESPN3 as part of the conference’s Wildcard weekends.

The Flames’ matchup at Charleston Southern will kick off at 2 p.m. from CSU Stadium in Charleston, S.C. Mike Hogewood will handle the play-by-play duties for ESPN3, while Renaldo Wynn will serve as the broadcast’s color analyst.

Liberty has been selected to participate in both the Big South’s Wildcard weekend broadcasts this year. Earlier this year, the Big South announced that Liberty’s season finale against Coastal Carolina on Nov. 19 was selected and will air of ESPNEWS.

While Liberty had last weekend off during its annual bye week, Charleston Southern upset No. 2/1 Coastal Carolina, 33-25, at home to take over first place in the Big South standings on Saturday. The Buccaneers are 4-0 in the league and will head to Kennesaw State this weekend.

Last year, Charleston Southern upended the Flames, 38-36, at Williams Stadium on Nov. 15, halting the Flames’ eight-game winning streak in the series.

The Flames have won the last four meetings against the Buccaneers at CSU Stadium. The last win in the four-game stretch was a 56-14 victory on Nov. 23, 2013, to secure Liberty’s second Big South title under Flames Head Coach Turner Gill.

Before traveling to Charleston, S.C., on Nov. 14, the Flames will host the Presbyterian Blue Hose this Saturday at Williams Stadium.

The contest, which kicks off at 3:30 p.m. from Williams Stadium, will serve as Liberty’s annual Military Appreciation game and will also be broadcast on ESPN3.
