Letter: Support Derek Almarode for Augusta County sheriff

augusta-county2editsWe have some important elections coming up this November, and one is the highly-contested Augusta County sheriff’s race.  We have one Republican nominee – Derek Almarode.  But he doesn’t just have carry the title of “nominee,” he has the merits of someone who is worthy to earn the position of sheriff of Augusta County.

I am a 23-year-old resident of the county and a personal friend of Derek’s, but also someone who has worked with him in various capacities.  As I look to my future, the future of the family I plan to raise here, and the community that we prize, I am certain that he is the best man to serve and protect our county.  True leadership requires certain qualities of character, ethics, honesty, and integrity that are very rare.  Derek’s proven commitment to these standards, combined with his experience and his vision for Augusta County are a true recipe for success.  He will ensure the honest leadership and protection that the families of our county deserve.

Please join me in voting for Almarode for Sheriff this November.
